Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Chance makes summer magical. Your child’s natural curiosity leads to outrageous fun and a deeper love of learning. Chance Summer Camp is non-academic, but the learning abounds with hands-on discovery. Each week, a child-friendly theme features exciting activities in art, nature, games, music, drama and stories.

Summer Camp runs June and July for children age 2 through fifth grade in the upcoming school year. Chance families receive information in early March for priority registration.  Registration is then open to the public.

For the 2-year-old camper
The indoor classroom is the base for our youngest campers. Centers of learning include blocks, pretend and dress-up, sensory and science, games and manipulatives, art, books and group fun as campers experience a loose interpretation of camp themes.

Schedule choices for 2s include two-day, three-day or five-day sessions from 9 a.m. – noon.

For the 3- and 4-year-old camper
Outside “classrooms” are divided into centers of learning that include art, nature and games, music and movement, sensory and stories. We use every asset of our unique natural setting to make theme studies come to life.

Schedule choices for 3s and 4s include five-day sessions from 9 a.m. – noon with the option to extend the afternoon for lunch, free-choice activities and play.

For children entering kindergarten through fifth grades
Elementary-age campers enjoy a week bustling with purposeful work and play, inside and outside the building. Engaging activities include theme exploration with reading and writing, art and music, games and manipulatives, math and construction along with science and technology.

Schedule choices range from full-day camps to half-day with the option to extend the afternoon for lunch, free-choice activities and play.
