Emily Warren
I hold a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Louisville and spent the first decade of my career teaching dance classes to school-age children. Before joining Virginia Chance School, I collaborated with college professors in Georgia to help them acquire educational materials for their courses. This role enhanced my appreciation for education and underscored the importance of instilling a love for learning from an early age.
As the Director of Communication at Virginia Chance School, I am dedicated to enhancing our communication strategies to ensure that parents, students, and staff are well-informed about our community. I use clear, kind, and concise communication skills to strengthen the bonds within our school by making it easy for our parents to engage without a lot of clutter.
My diverse background in both practical teaching and academic support makes me well-suited to guide our Extended Programs. I bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to nurturing young minds. This extensive hands-on experience has equipped me with the unique ability to connect with children and foster their growth in a creative and engaging manner. I love the challenge of building the framework and guiding our students through the progressive education Extended Programs at Virginia Chance School.
My passion for working with children and my belief in the power of learning through play and hands-on experiences align perfectly with Virginia Chance School's philosophy. Over my years here, I have overseen and taught hundreds of children, witnessing their blossoming confidence, eagerness to learn, and self-motivation firsthand. My two children are enrolled at Chance School, and we couldn't be happier with the nurturing and vibrant environment it provides. The committed teachers and engaging curriculum truly enhance my children's education and childhood.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my loved ones, walking my dog, dancing, and reading. I am thrilled to continue my journey with the Chance team and look forward to another year of inspiring and supporting your children.
