Nicole McKendrick
I have an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville and a bachelor's in Art History and English Writing. Over the past decade, I have worked predominantly in admissions for two-and-four-year institutions. I have also taught developmental college courses and worked closely with GED programming for the State of Kentucky.
Before our daughter was preschool-aged, our family was introduced to Virginia Chance School via the Developing Capable Young People parenting series. We were able to take the knowledge and skills Chance teachers use in the classroom each day and implement them in our home with excellent results. During this experience, we learned more about progressive education, Chance faculty, staff, and the campus. It wasn't long before we knew that Chance would be an excellent fit for our daughter.
Since then, my husband has joined the VCS Board, our daughter is now in Elementary, and I began in the Human Resources role at Chance.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends in my spare time, pampering our cats, Charlie and Georgia, traveling, and being outdoors.
