Carrie Godlove
Carrie holds a BA in English with a minor in Classics from the University of Arizona and earned a post-graduate elementary school teaching credential from Sacramento State University. With extensive experience in teaching preschool and elementary school, as well as tutoring, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her current role. She also leads a Girl Scout troop, demonstrating her commitment to fostering growth and development in young minds. Carrie is highly dedicated to Chance School's progressive education approach, which prioritizes an emergent curriculum and inquiry-based learning. She is particularly enthusiastic about the school's focus on empowering children to express their opinions, make choices, learn self-advocacy, and cultivate a stronger sense of self through inquiry-based learning. This aspect of the program is designed to activate a growth mindset and is immensely rewarding for the children.

Originally from California, Carrie has lived in various places since leaving for college and has called Louisville home since June of 2022. Carrie enjoys indulging in good books, music, and movies and is always up for an adventure in the great outdoors. She is excited and honored to contribute to the positive and enriching environment at Chance School.
